This is a 50 year young Thorens TD145 MkII that needed a second life. Thorens turntables are associated with true high fidelity all over the world. The drive mechanism achieves optimum wow, flutter and rumble. The double chassis system removes the transmission of mechanical vibration to the tone arm. The unique clutch system employed enables a fast, vibrationless run up time of the 3,2kg platter.
This oldie got a new plinth made from beech and walnut and a new Nagaoka MP-110 element. All the wiring has been redone and some internal electronics have been replaced.
