About

Hello, my name is Peter Verhauwen. I live in Brussels, Belgium. This is just a quick draft, with more to come. . The idea is to share what I do with old/vintage and new sound equipment in my spare time.

I adore great sound, whether it is live or recorded. I know acoustics and electroacoustics well, and I have the basics of electronics and woodworking. I’m very grateful to have access to a fabulous coworking workshop for wood, metal, fablab work, screen printing, and more here in Brussels. Check it out for yourself: MicroFactory. This combination of knowledge and tools gives me lots of opportunities to design, develop, and make customised high-end audio gear. I mainly build speakers, but I also refurbish amplifiers and turntables.

It is a real pleasure to play records on a beautifully crafted and refurbished turntable from the 70s or 80s, brought to life with a recapped amplifier and a set of DIY speakers.

If you want to get in touch, send me a message via Instagram. I speak Dutch, French, German, English, and some Spanish. I’d love to hear from fellow audio and music lovers to share our experiences or build projects a project for you.
